i have tiny red bumps like pimples all over my upper arm and sides of stomach and it spreading. dr told it is miliaria. his treatment didn't help.

What is it?: Miliaria responds to removing the cause. One fooler is pityriasis rubra. Another is acne mechanics.  There a few other mimics. I hope you find the explanation.

Cool compress: If the bumps are caused by heat, then wash with soap and water and apply a cool rag compress to the area. Seek attention if the redness and swelling doesn't go away.

Lymph node: Could be a swollen node. Get it checked by your doc as skin swellings, rashes, etc can be very hard to diagnose on this kind of forum.

Check with doctor: You may have hydradenitis which is a skin disease affects the epocrine sweat glands or sebacious glands such as under the arms and under the breasts
use warm compresses and you mat need antibiotics
if reccurs or persists see a dermatologist.

Virus: Rash of localized "red bumps... Which spread from chest to armpit", in a middle age man, is compatible with shingles. The virus follows nerve tracts, suggested by this pattern of evolution. If caught early enough, a course of medication can be prescribed by doctor to abort the advancing infection.

I'm Guessing: The best way to be sure would be to see and feel this lump, but, it sounds like you scratched the skin open and you have either an inflamed lymph node or possibly an infected skin sweat gland. If this continues to bother you for more than 5-7 days, please see your doctor for evaluation.

Pus?: If truly pus, then you probably have a transient infection of the hair follicles called folliculitis. But if you're talking about small, hard bumps with a tiny amount of a waxy substance in them, especially on your upper arms and have chronic dry skin, then this might be the benign hyperkeratosis pilaris, which can respond to exfoliation and regularly using a good moisturizer.

are small soft moveable bumps a concern? i have 2 on my neck and 1 in my armpit. these are hard to feel and maybe pea sized.

Not usually: Well defined unfixed (moveable) small masses are not generally concerning regarding cancer risk. Painful tends to be infectious. Changing in size and texture, however, is concerning. All should be checked but some more immediately.

Recurrent cyst: Cysts often recur:  it's normal. Return to the dermatologist. Perhaps she will recommend minor surgery this time to remove the cyst or otherwise prevent recurrence.
