Vaginal itch: It could be an STD or it could be a reaction to the topical yeast medication.  I would definitely see your doctor and have her look at it, you will likely need a swab to rule out STD.

Yeast vaginitis?: See your obstetrician to determine if you have yeast vaginitis, atrophic vaginitis, or lichen sclerosus/vin. Depending on the diagnosis, the treatment/relief will differ - i cannot help you without the benefit of the physical examination and wet mount.

Causes
common causes of vaginal itching include:

chemical irritants such as detergents, fabric softeners, feminine sprays, ointments, creams, douches, and contraceptive foams or jellies.
Menopause. A drop in the hormone estrogen causes vaginal dryness.
Stress may increase vaginal itching and make you more susceptible to infections.
Vaginal yeast infection
vaginitis. Vaginitis in girls before puberty is common. If a young girl has a sexually transmitted vaginal infection, however, sexual abuse must be considered and addressed.

These really cuts?: Can you see linear breaks in the skin or are you just feeling tenderness?  This may be herpes.  Or may be other things.  Why don't you see a doctor and get examined?  Otc meds not a substitute for accurate diagnosis.
