Limit Exposure: Heat illnesses occurs from one thing.  Excess heat!  so the hotter it is the more you should limit your exposure.  Hydration is crucial.  Drink cool fluids (non-alcoholic and caffeine free).   Wear wide-brim hats, use a sun-shade or umbrella that gives you some uv protection.  Take breaks in shaded or air conditioned areas.  And limit strenuous physical activity.

Red & hot flashes: It is unclear with your symptoms what your clinical status is; are you in early menopause or do you have sunstroke.  History is important ie.  How long has this been going on, how old are you and how old was your mom when she went through menopause.  If history doesn't help then testing gonadotropins (fsh & lh), and Estradiol will help sort out your status.

Avoid sun: Stay out of direct sunlight best as able. Hydrate well (about 1 liter/hr and increase towards 1.5l/hr if doing hard work). Sunscreen. Hat w/brim (bring your own shade). Try to do strenuous work/activity outside of the peak heat of day.
