Splint: takes 6-8 weeks for ligament tear to heal and 4 months for swelling to subside. Tendon injuries often require surgery so see a hand surgeon if any loss of motion

See below: Your doctor can try to immobilize you for a time.  If there is a total tear then surgery is probably needed.  There is a newer technique called prp which you can discuss with your doctor.

Availability: Ligaments are not available to harvest from your own body like portions of tendons or whole tendons of certain muscles that are not critical to our function.  For the same reason, we do not harvest ligaments to repair tendons.

Months: It can take a long time to heal torn ligaments, especially in areas like the back that you really can't give full rest to. Think of football players that get turf-toe and it bothers them the entire season - it's very similar. I would highly recommend physical therapy if not doing it. Can help you with alternative ways to sit/move/lie to reduce stress on that area of back.

Torn muscle: Healing depends on degree of trauma, type of muscle, location of joints, age, and degree of rest. Like wise so many variable. Some doesn't heal at all without surgical treatment.

Yes it is possible: It is possible but depend on what tendon and ligament and what conservative treatment you received and your symptoms and what the present imaging studies like mri/cat scan show at this time.
Discuss with your orthopedic surgeon if it is possible in your case.

See a doctor: You will get a proper evaluation and a diagnosis can be made. Sometimes further testing is necessary. Is range of motion limited or very painful? These are often  noted, however, a tear is not necessarily present with these symptoms.

i had surgery for a broken wrist and torn ligaments or tendons about 6 wks ago. i can't turn a door knob. how long will it take to get better?

It takes time: People who've sustained wrist (distal radius) fractures associated with ligament or cartilage (TFCC) tears can expect it to take several months to heal. At 6 weeks you will have some pain and or discomfort with certain activities. You should start range of motion exercises and incremental grip strengthening. Avoid activities such as push-ups and repetitive forearm motion for 6 more weeks.
