Larbal tear.: It could be  a labral tear. Hip MRI's are not that easy to read. See an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in hip arthroscopy, for an accurate diagnosis.

Bruising: As well as pain, swelling, and instability.  Some people have difficulty using the injured part as well.  I mention bruising first because just from visual inspection, bruising tends to indicate that a ligament was torn or bone broken compared to just a sprain.

If it's the hip you-: -are talking about,it sounds like a mix up to me. Things such as a labral tear as well as AVN do not heal like that. If the MR was done on a different machine it can make a difference. Each  MR has its own quirks or handwriting if you may, as well as power. 1.5T doesn't show details as well as a 3.0T.
