can any doc tell me what's the best electric tooth brush?

The one you use: Two favorites are the oral-b and the sonicare. I prefer the first, although many dentists prefer the second. Both are effective if used properly. It boils down to personal preference.

is it ok to use electric tooth brush when gums are sensitive/often bleed?

Accepted Answer

Yes, but....: Electric toothbrushes are fine, but I am more worried that your gums bleed. This has been linked to some rather severe diseases of the body- diabetes, heart attacks and strokes for example. If your dentist isn't addressing the bleeding- finding the cause and discussing how to treat it- get another dentist!

why children can't use electric tooth brush for adults?what will happen if they use adult machine with small head. does it irritate developing follicle

Why not?? : Depends upon the age of the child. Until age 8 or 9, they lack the dexterity to safely and effectively clean their own teeth--so we must rely on the parents. Unfortunately, oftentimes, they aren&#x27;t all that helpful either! I have used floss followed by a sonicare to clean my son&#x27;s teeth every night since he was 3 years old--before that we did it manually. He has no dental issues related to disease.

my electric tooth brush has dry tooth paste all over it. is it safe to wash it in the sink with soap and warm water?

Accepted Answer

Yes: Allow the tooth brush to dry out after you have washed it with soap and warm water to prevent mold or fungal growth on your tooth brush.  Uv sterilizer also could be used.

how often are crest white strips safe to use? i am very diligent about oral hygiene and brush with an electric tooth brush and floss daily. i want to make sure im not too rough on the enamel. i cant imagine you want to do it too often?

: You are good at your oral hygiene protocol, so follow directions for using the white strips. Don't over use for a quicker whitening, you could cause enamel to become sensitive. It takes time for a whiter enamel, so be patient.

i was brushing my tongue with an electric tooth brush, i think i must of gone too far back inside my mouth as i gagged several times as though i might vomit. when i spit in the sink there was red/pink blood and a soft substance, should i be worried?

Injury: You injured yourself. Should heal in no more than 145 days. If still present by day 14, call your Dentist for an evaluation.

The store/interent: Any store that has home dental care products should have some of them.  There are less expensive nes, but my favorite are any brush that has a 2 minute timer on it.  The timer, in my humble opinion, is the greatest advent in home care in years.

The one you like.: As long as you choose a soft bristle toothbrush, there is no better brand over another, in my opinion.  Choose the one that you like the most so that you will want to continue brushing regularly!

Accepted Answer

They clean better.: Soft toothbrushes clean better and won't damage exposed roots. The bristles of soft tooth brushes are able to bend and get into the nooks and crannies of your teeth and gums. I you have any root exposed, soft tooth brushes won't damage the root as will  medium or hard brushes.

if my tooth brush fells in the basin how can i clean it to use it further?

Accepted Answer

Toothbrush: Throw it away and get a new toothbrush. Anytime your toothbrush is contaminated it should be replaced.
