Titanium Hardware: If placed under abnormal amounts of stress, medical hardware can break and fail.  I've seen broken screws more commonly but it would be possible to break plates as well.

Depends.: Not sure what is meant. Small amounts of titanium dioxide can be found in various foods. However, if you are talking about eating titanium dioxide diaper rash products or sun skin care products out of the tube - that would be unhealthy.

Age is not an issue: Stainless steel is used commonly and safely for surgical implants. Titanium is relatively newer on the market in the manufacture of surgical implants and has properties that are more like bone than stainless. It is important for any surgery to notify your surgeon of any and all allergies to medications food and in particular when the case may involve an implant, metal allergies.

Not at all: It obvious did not interfere with you getting pregnant.  There is no relation between the events of childbirth and the presence of a fixation rod in your femur.  Do not worry.

ACDF: Once may patients are healed, (usually 3 months), for the soft tissues I allow my patients to have deep tissue massage

Nothing special: Allergic reactions are pretty common and for the most part not specific to the specific antigen (cause). If the exposure to titanium is direct skin contact, would expect redness and possible swelling there. See:http://j.Mp/vgz70k.

Unlikely: Titanium is one of the metals least likely to cause allergy problems.  Nickel or cobalt are the most likely metal allergens.

Unrelated: Tazing has no interaction with implanted titanium rods.  The only ill effect might be if the rod was in a vulnerable spot, and the sharp muscular jerking in relationship to the application of the tazer, could move the rod in some way.  But most tazer hits will not do this although i don't recommend doing tazer for fun.

Didnt heal: A plate is placed to hold a bone in place and allow healing.  If the bone goes on to nonunion (doesnt heal), the plate is subjected to stress and will eventually break.  It is also possible to fracture the treated bone above or below the plate.
