What a pill!: Tinospora cordifolia(i think i spelled it correctly) is a plant from indian/eastern culture that has a myriad of uses; though care should be exercised when using it...Always check with your doctor before adding this to your regimen; and a tablet/capsule is the easiest dosage form for it.

Helped yes, cured???: Tinospora is an interesting compound.  It has many immune stimulating properties, which is how it likely helps with swine flu.  We lack safety studies on it, so be cautious in its use.  It has the potential to help, but i don't know about cure.  Homeopathic flu medications are also helpful.  Make sure you have optimal vitamin a, d, and zinc levels as they are also essential for immune health.

ITP: You really should discuss this with your hematologist who treated your itp and/or whomever follows you for this condition. I cannot personally recommend you to take an "herbal concentrate" since it is not monitored by the fda and side effects have been reported.

Pseudoephedrine is still sold otc in us but is a major component in the illegal manufacture of methamphetamine.  Please consult with your doctor before using the extracts from this dangerous weed.

Some. : Both contain ephedrine (ephedrine sulfate). The concentration depends on cultivation & processing of the plant parts. Both are dangerous.  Seizures & severe cardiac complications are major problem. Think Cocaine or ecstacy. I would recommend against their use.
