: A prostate exam can't tell if you have a tight bottle neck, i.e. bladder outlet obstruction (BOO), it only reveals if your prostate is enlarged or not. An enlarged prostate (BPH) is the common cause of BOO . However, if you truly have BPH I am not sure if too much masturbation and holding ejacualtion are the cause of prostate enlargement. If you do not have BPH, you need a video urodynamics study.
