It's also possible that your next set could be normal. Without more detail it isn't possible to respond more specifically.  Having thyroid antibodies and possibly TSH receptor antibody testing may help elucidate.

If this is a concern, consulting an endocrinologist would be prudent.  However, normal test results generally rule out functional deficits of thyroid hormones.

Any time: Fna of thyroid can be done any time. Most of the time thyroid hormones are not affected by thyroid scans with i-123. However, in some occasions, depending on the iodine status and the condition of the thyroid there might be a decrease uptake of iodine by thyroid and cause transient hypothyroidism ( wolf-chiakoff phenomenon ).
