i recently had a thrombosed hemorrhoid lanced. it has been 5 days now and still bleeding. i have been talking rectual suppository accutal is this norm?

Thrombosed: Thrombosed hemorrhoids are quite painful until the blood clot is removed. If bleeding is brisk and persistent I feel a colon-rectal surgeon or proctologist is best qualified to treat you.

i've had a grape sized thrombosed hemorrhoid for 4 days now. it appears to have popped last night and is painful and bleeding. is this normal?

Evacuate the clot: Must expel the clot and then it will heal on its own.  Anusol-HC suppositories will help.  See your MD if you need help

: Thrombosed hemorrhoids are very painful and in my experience, relief is usually only obtained by having a proctologist,general surgeon or colorectal surgeon remove the clot via a small incision. I think your treatment is as well as you can do with home care.

Sitz Baths: (Old fashioned BUT VERY EFFECTIVE)  Sit in a tub with hot water...be careful not to burn yourself..... It helps both the discomfort and promotes healing and avoiding infection!

Thrombosis: A hemorrhoid is a enlarged vein at the anus or in the lower rectum. Internal hemorrhoids are deep to the anus. External hemorrhoids are outside of the anus.  A hemorrhoid is a bump that can cause pain, bleeding and may be itchy. A thrombosed hemorrhoid contains a clot which causes redness ; ^ pain.

Hemorrhoid: A thrombosed hemorrhoid is a hemorrhoid that has a clot in it.  It is usually felt as a painful swollen lump around the anus.  Treatments can be sitz baths with warm water with several cups of epsom salts added twice daily.  Topical creams such as anusol are also helpful.  Sometimes if they are extremely painful, they may need to have the clot surgically removed.

Continue sitz bath.: Sit in warm tub, plain warm water at least four times a day. If problem continue after few days check with your MD

Hot water applicatio: Try sitting in hot(not too hot) water to sooth the discomfort and take stool softeners. Sometimes the clot in the hemorrhoid has to be removed in order to relieve the pain.

Same: A hemorroid may be thought of as a "varicose vein" a dilated vessel.They may become thromboses, meaning a clot formed.I'd follow a regieme of "sitz baths" which means sitting in warm epsom salt baths, stool softeners and more water in your diet in addition to regular exercise the keep stool soft and mobile.I also recommend "tucks" wipes.
