Difficult to say: You are young and one would suspect that arthritis is not a factor in your case, which could explain pain that increases with usage.  Did you have any injury recently or in the past?  Any prior surgeries?  Are you an athlete or otherwise very active?  Is there swelling?  As you can see, there are many other questions of value here.  Following with a doctor can shed some light on your situation!

Several: 'burning' knee pain without any injury may be caused by tendinitis( patellar, quads, it band etc.) or from kneecap (patellofemoral) cartilage wear most commonly. See your orthopedic surgeon if your pain continues for examination. In your case patellofemoral instability can cause pain, 'popping', and a feeling of instability. Quad strengthening and bracing may be the initial treatment. Best of luck!

RICE: Rest, ice, compression, and elevation are the standard treatment recommendations for strains of any joint.  If the pain persists, particularly if you find you have difficulty bearing weight on the leg, I would not hesitate to be seen for it.

Arthritis maybe?: This is tough to explain without further examination.  Joint swelling, x-ray findings, and perhaps blood tests might be very helpful.

This may be: coming from a pinched nerve in your back (Spine L4-L5 level)
Try heat applied to your lower back and speak with your PCP (Primary Care Provider) about a possible MRI of your Lumbar Spine!

Could be: sprain, strain, or arthritis, brought upon by your knee deformity.  It could also be a blood clot, so it is best to have a doctor look at it.

Sounds like sciatica: The description of your pain suggests sciatic nerve irritation or sciatica.  See your physician for evaluation to identify the source of your pain first- you may benefit from physical therapy and/or nsaid's.
