Getting pregnant: Anyone having sex without condoms or birth control is at risk  of getting pregnant. If you are not having regular periods then you may or may not be ovulating. Pregnancy occur when one has sex at the time of ovulation so that the egg can be fertilized by sperm. Consider restarting birth control if you do not desire pregnancy.

Pregnancy: Pregnancy could be a possibility.  Try taking a pregnancy test.  They become positive about a week after you should have begun your period.  If its negative, repeat in 1 week and see your doctor.

: First off,  I am sorry for your loss of your son. You are going though the worst things a parent can experience. 
There is no doubt that emotional duress can cause amenorrhea , however at sometime soon if this persists a visit to your GYN is advisable.

Not Really: Physically, having irregular periods should not be harmful.Particularly if you feel well.There are hormonal irregularities that may be a factor and relate to other issues such as wieght problems, fertility etc.So check with your doctor.

Missed/late period: low body wt, obesity, weight ^ or v,  ^exercise, endurance athletics, breast-feeding, stress, illness, eating disorders (bulimia or anorexia), anovulatory cycle (no egg released), travel, perimenopause, just starting menstruation, hormone irregularities, drug use, meds (i.e., birth control) or medical problems.#1 reason is pregnancy.

See your doctor: There are many causes for irregular periods. It is possible that you are going through early menopause but  unlikely at your age. If you are bleeding that frequently you need to blood tests to make sure that you are not anemic and to check your thyroid. You also need a pelvic exam to make sure that you do not have fibroids or some other condition that can cause bleeding.
