Food poisoning?: possible food poisoning or viral gastroenteritis . Make sure you are able to keep hydrated. If symptoms do not resolve after 24-48 hours seek medical attention. If you can't keep water down, go to the ER for evaluation

Vomiting: About a thousand things. The most important thing is to make sure the child does not dehydrate. Lack of urinating is a sign of dehydration. I would strongly recommend getting the child to the er for an assessment.

Green vomit: Some causes are; Infection of liver, Alcohol or medications such as pain pills, Food allergies or food poisoning, Bowel obstruction, etc.  Consult your PCP to explore cause.

Phlegm: sounds like you have a post nasal drip. try taking mucinex, (guaifenesin) and avoiding dairy foods for a while and see if this helps. uncontrolled gastritis could also cause post nasal drip. do you have gerd or sour sensation, heart burn. then i would suggest you take prilosec 1 tablet a day.

I : I am not sure what caused you to vomit a black substance.  Hematemesis is the medical word for vomiting blood. Blood that is vomited can look black or it may be dark brown and look like coffee grounds. In some cases bright red blood  is vomited. Did you eat anything really dark?  Do you drink alcohol heavily?  Did you have a nose bleed prior to that? Are you sure you vomited up the substance and did not cough it up?

Posttussive vomiting: It is very common for little kids to vomit after coughing known as post tussive vomiting . I am sure he felt better and slept better after that. Whenever they cough they are trying to bring something up. Once it is out they feel relief .

: Please see the Emergency room. There may be a GI bleeding condition, allergy to milk, and esophageal condition. Monitor temperature and breathing and watch for signs of shortness of breath.
