uh so, is it normal for like. ur brain to jus. hurt really bad when ur holding movements back? cus some people told me its tics cus it happens. quite a bit, also with involuntary mimicking of people and im quite confused?

: I have been treating patients with CBIT and my patients have told me that when they redirect the impulse to tic into a more socially acceptable behavior it hurts but with continued practice and when time has passed it gets better.  It would be good if you get help from a Clinical Psychologist trained to use CBIT.

Not exactly: Tics can involve muscles in the head, face, arms, legs or any muscle group in the body.  Facial tics are the most common.  The cause of tics is unknown, but brain damage as from traumatic brain injury rarely cause tics.  The cause is usually genetic, but there is evidence that tics may also arise as a consequence of certain infections such as strep.

10 months these head symptoms every second every day/night. off balance, dizzy, lightheaded, impaired speech, head pain, swaying feeling, brain fog, involuntary eye movement, syncope (once) ent say not vertigo. meds no help. bloodwork normal. ideas?

: It is not feasible to provide an opinion without additional history, physical examination may be some tests. It would be prudent to see your doctor to see if you may be depressed. Depression is treatable. Counter-intuitive as it may seem, exercise may help. Start with low intensity exercise such as walking and gradually increase the intensity as tolerated. Drink more water. No : Hi. No, the pituitary controls the part of the adrenal cortex that makes cortisol, and is a secondary regulator of the part of the cortex that makes aldosterone. Cortisol does have influential effects on the adrenal medulla, so I guess you could say there are some downstream effects from the pituitary.

Tics: Usually the tics in tourette's syndrome verbal or motor are usually involuntary which can be increased by stress. Usually accompanied by ocd symptoms.

2 types of control: Smile is controlled by regions related to voluntary movement and by emotional areas of the brain. Thus we can smile when told to do so, but we also smile (almost involuntarily) when happy, and the latter often seems more natural.
