Strophic testis: The testicle can shrink at a very early age or later in adult life. Few of the main causes of testicular atrophy are, torsion(twisting), trauma ,infection( mumps) etc. Please see a urologist and get an ultrasound done.

Mild size: asymmetry between the testicles is normal.  Also, they may normally be suspended at different angles and at different heights.  However, if you feel like there might be a problem, see your doctor for an evaluation.

Exam: if this is a new finding, I would definitely suggest you be examined by a urologist. If your testes have always been asymmetrical I would still suggest you be examined however this may be a normal variant

Will not enlarge: There is no medication which will enlarge testes. Testes will also not enlarge  any more after puberty.

No correlation: There is no difference in penile size whether or noy you have either 1 or 2 testes. Considerable varaibility in both penile size &amp; less so in testis size. Testis size does not determine penile size or viceversa. There are rare conditons where both testes and penis are very small, e.g. hypopituitrism or genetic males who have tissues that do not respond to &amp; are resistant to their own testosterne.

i have atrophied/small left testis which was placed to scrotum from hernia operation at age of 21.is it possible to make it normal in function&size?

Depends: The size of the testicle cannot be changed. It is hard to assess what function a single testicle has. It is hard to isolate it to test singularly. Overall function and viability of sperm can be tested. Size will remain the same.

i went for a sonogram of my scrotum (duplex) they entered my testicle size on the report. right testis: 4.2 cm x 1.9 cm x 2.9, left testis: 3.0 x 1.7 cm x 2.0 cm. my question are my testis small, or average? thank you?

: Right testis's size is in normal range. Your left testicle is small but etiology and its significance should be correlated with medical history. It is common to have two testes with different sizes. One normal testicle is enough for male hormone and fertility.

Testis swelling: You may have accumulated fluid around the testis called hydrocele. An ultrasound should give you an answer.

Asymmetry of the tes: If this asymmetry is something new, you do need to have it checked out, if it is like this since birth probably congenital, still would recommend to have it checked out through an Urologist

Average sizes: A healthy adult prostate measures around 1.6 x 1 x 1.2 inches, and a normal adult testicle measures around 3cm x 2-4cm x 3-5cm. The size of the prostate can increase with age and the size of the testicles can decrease with age, both of which are normal.
