just got a blood testdone and my rheumatology serology count was 25... what does that mean?

Sed Rate : One of the most common blood tests performed for evaluation of a rheumatolgical disorder is ESR (sed rate, westergren esr). Esr is a non-specific test and when elevated may indicate an underlying inflammatory (e.g. Rhuem, infectious) process is taking place. Levels lying slightly outside of the normal range are rarely useful. The results must be interpreted in the context of clinical presentations.

i have fasting sugar 107 n post sugar 147.had coffee n puri before gng for post sugar test.does it mean i have sugar?what precautions should i take?

Diabetes tests: A fasting blood sugar of 107 does not make strict criteria for diabetes.  The level of 147 is not helpful as it was not fasting.  You could get another blood test called HgA1C.  If the level is greater than 6.5 you have diabetes.  To protect yourself exercise 30-60 minutes at least 3-5 days a week and reduce your intake of simple sugars and carbohydrates in general.  Lose weight if you are heavy.

sometimes i get urge to go poop. i sit & it kind of goes away, i push abit to see if i can produce anything and the tiniest amount of mucus comes out into the toilet. i had 2 negative fit test.don't want a colonoscopy but do you think it is needed?

: You may be merely experiencing heightened rectal sensitivity but instead of a colonoscopy you could consult a colorectal surgeon or proctologist  who could perform a simple proctoscopy in the office.  The prep is only a fleets enema the night before.  In this way you'll have peace of.mind.

do dust mites vary from one country to another?.was diagnosed with dust mite allergy in canada via skin prick test.do i need to repeat test in india?

Wouldn't bother : Dust mites are human pests &amp; dust mite allergy is based on their dead bodies, created by living on shed human skin cells. I know of no data comparing the DNA of Canadian vs Indian mites but find it unlikely to matter. Assume you will have inhalant allergies including dust mites anywhere you go and take whatever precautions or treatments you find useful.

what is calcific foci in chest x ray
does it signify any thing related for purpose i did the test -  tb test.does it have anything related to smoking?

Calcification: The calcified lesion in itself is not of concern. For example in the area I live inhaling spores from plants is common and the body calcifies these over time and the calcifications are seen on xray.  A TB granuloma can get calcified which is typically good and means the TB is being "walled off". Tumors can get calcified too. You will have to talk to your provider about the results.

had ednos but now its anorexia. im still healthy wt (bmi 20.6). thyroid hormones were fine on recent blood test.does that mean my bmr isnt slowed yet?

BMR complicated: It is complicated to calculate true BMR, as both overweight and underweight people can have a low BMR. Activity, body muscle/fat proportion, insulin and other hormonal factors all contribute and thyroid hormone is only one factor.  When the body senses starvation, especially with a low BMI, basal metabolic rate will slow down to conserve calories, so keeping weight in the normal range is helpful.

Don't have hep C now: If you meant the hcv RNA test was negative (and it was a good quality one), then the 1st positive anti-hep c ab test means one of two things: it was a false positive or you were infected at one piint in time and then was able to clear the infection on your own.

More information: To know what might be going on we need more information such as whether or not you are using anything for contraception and if so what and where you are in your menstrual cycle. Lots of things can cause spotting. If you are bleeding when you shouldn't be it is different than if you aren't bleeding as much as you usually do.

Not necessarily for : 1st time. Reasons for missed/late periods: low body weight, obesity, marked weight ^ or v, over-exercise, endurance athletics, breast-feeding, ^ stress, illness, eating disorders (bulimia or anorexia), anovulatory cycle (no egg released), travel, hormone irregularities, drug use, meds (i.e., birth control) or medical problems. #1 reason is pregnancy.  Repeat hpt.
