have a slight cough for quite som time.  wouldn't worry except i keep getting a bad test in my mouth after non-prod cough. this usually happens with  colds or bronchitis, which i don't have.  any idea?

Many answers but: I suspect that the reflux is the cause for your cough and bad taste in the mouth but  you should consult your doctor nonetheless.

symptoms long term parotid swelling on left with growth . diagnosis sialosis. i have pain & numbness. the test felt swelling & prod with metal probe and cotton bud. no history taken. i dont drink alcohol ever.  no diabetes. any other tests required?

See Ent doctor: Sialosis is not an inflammation of the salivary gland, parotid in your case.  What throws off that diagnosis is the pain and numbness.  Sialoadenosis needs to be properly examine and tested by a knowledgeable ENT doctor.  With the pain and numbness there is a possibility of something growing within the parotid, probably benign, but it is creating internal forces in the gland.

will an otc user flunk a drug test?

Not usually: It depends, some apparently innocent otc contain ephedra derivatives or codeine; also, false positives for some meds  (tca, barbiturates) due to benadryl, (diphenhydramine) ibuprofen, naproxene and others are common. Drs are aware, generally. But usually with the most common methods, hardly ever any otc will affect the main ones (cocaine, bzd, thc, amphetamines, etc). Ask your dr. Stay clean; good luck.

Test: Probably it will show up. You should be OK if you have the doctor's note or prescription for the medication.

It might: It hard to tell if Hydrocodone will still be in your system.  The half life of hydrocodone in a healthy person is around 8-9 hours.  So if has been about 36 hours since you took the Hydrocodone, there might be a trace of the hydrocodone still in your system.  It also depends on the test and how sensitive it is for level of hydrocodone still in your system.

Too close to call...: It depends on the sensitivity of the screening test.  It also depends on your overall health, condition of your liver and whether or not other drugs are competing for metabolism. In general, the shorter acting benzodiazepines are cleared from the body within 3-5 days. Barring any additional use of Ativan, (lorazepam) your test has a slightly greater possibility of being negative. It's really too close to call

1 to 3 days: Lortab is a combination of hydrocodone in tylenol (acetaminophen).  Whether or not it shows up on a drug test depends on the type of test that is done. A single dose of hydrocodone may  show up  on very sensitive urine tests for1 to 3 days. However, it depends on the individual person, the test, and the laboratory.
