Viral infection?: Enlarged neck glands, runny nose, and cough suggest that you are suffering from a virus infection. Commonly caused by adenovirus infection; it could also be associated mono virus. Allergy is less likely because it is usually not associated with lymph gland swelling. It usually runs its course. People can get improvements in symptoms by use of antihistamines etc..

my limp nodes on my right side are swollen all the way up the right side of my neck. they are like knots and tender. why is this?

Could be infection: Everyone has cervical lymph nodes, which are normally the size and shape of small beans, less than 1 cm, smaller than a dime. If they are growing, if there are large numbers of them, or if they hurt, one can have a primary care doctor examine them. In young adults and kids, big nodes are almost always from infections. In people a bit older, or in the very unlucky of any age, they can be cancer.

2 knots appeared below my hairline on the back of my neck. the larger one doesn't hurt but the little one is sore. . should i be concerned?

Lymph nodes: You may have some swollen lymph nodes secondary to a low grade infection in your scalp. Check with your doctor to seeif antibiotics are needed.

Cyst: The knot at the base of your neck could be a cyst which has become inflamed.  See your doctor for advice as to whether this cyst needs to be removed surgically.

Infected cyst??: Sounds like you might have had a sebaceous cyst which got infected, hence it is harder and tender now. These are benign swellings in the skin occurring near a hair. 
See your doc/surgeon about it for proper DX and treatment.

i have a hard bump on my back which feels like a knot, but its too hard to be a knot and feels more like a bone, i have been getting a sore and tense neck lately.. i have had this bumb for very long now and its starting to concern me.

Bump on the back : The "back" has a lot of normal hard bumps;  from the spine called spinous processes, the sacrum (part of the back of the pelvis)  has bumps as does the iliac crest. You can look at them on the internet. A tense neck should be evaluated in person. It can be from muscle tension, pinched nerves, arthritis, disc disease, infections, or emotional stresses.

Normal lymph node: We have lymph nodes scattered throughout our body ; they are often detected in the neck where they sit on top of neck muscles. These nodes are little fluid strainers that take body lymph ; remove stray germs from things like bug bites. They are often pea sized at rest ; grow to dime sized when working. Within 2-3 wks they often shrink back down unless they are stimulated further.Ur doc can confirm.

left arm feels sore last few weeks i have a lot of knots in my left shoulder blade area and neck. the soreness goes down to elbow what can i do to help

Cervical nerve root : Irritation of the mid and lower nerve roots in the cervical spine (neck part of the vertebral column), as in radiculopathy. Certain viral infections (e.g. Herpez zoster) may be implicated in this presentation. Other conditions are possible. Please see your doctor for a detailed evaluation. Until then, otc nsaids as directed.
