Bumps after peel: It is nearly impossible to tell what the bumps are without photographs.

It is not uncommon for one to get a break-out of rosacea (adult acne) or even acne after a chemical peel. These bumps are usually slightly pink.

Scarring: There are many complications associated with trichloroacetic acid chemical peels involving the non-facial skin including keloid scarring, prolonged erythema, pigmentary changes, milia, skin atrophy, and textural changes.

Yes.: Cosmelan is a chemical peel commonly used to treat facial pigmentation issues like melasma (pregnancy mask), supposedly by inhibiting tyrosinase, an enzyme in the pigment-formation process. It is very expensive, and i know of no credible evidence that it works any better than more common (and cheaper) chemical and mechanical peel procedures.

Depends: Microdermabrasion is a superficial peeling procedure that removes or lessens surface discoloration and sun damage. There is little or no recovery time, but a series of them is usually required. Chemical peel is more aggressive and often requires recovery time. Expense varies, depending on who you go to and where you live, among other things. Insurance rarely if ever pays for either one.

No: Endermologie is a mechanical stimulation technique used to "stimulate" the skin. It has been around for quite a few years, and has been primarily used as a way to try to improve cellulite and fat. Many in the medical community are, i believe, skeptical about the level and duration of any improvement.

I wouldn't: After peel you want to keep face free of sun, use a sunscreen and skin conditioning regimen after the inflammation wears off.
