Not in far enough: The most common reason for discomfort with tampon use is that the tampon is not in far enough. When seated on a commode, point to lower back just above tailbone, not straight up.

Visit gynecologist..: Leaving a tampon in too long can lead to a serious infection. Please see you gynecologist for a pelvic exam.

Kidney stone: A kidney stone may not cause symptoms until it moves around. The common symptom is pain that spreads to the lower abdomen, groin, pain in the side and back. Also pain on urination and persistent urge to urinate. Rec.: see your primary care physician for evaluation, imaging and treatment or referral to the urologist.

No: The feeling of discomfort May last a few hours even a day.  You should take Tylenol (acetaminophen) or ibuprofen.  Now if persistent pain, bleeding, discharge or fever then get checked.

Examination : Unclear cause. Probably the best thing to do is to schedule a visit for a physical exam to see if any abnormalities, infections or vaginsl dryness is seen.

Yes: Some tampons contain deodorants or perfumes. Those chemicals can cause irritation to the vaginal mucosa.  Change products or use plain tampons without chemicals.

Tampons: Here is a diagram showing how to insert a tampon painlessly:  http://tinyurl.Com/pmykqeg  also, tampons with plastic applicators may slide into your vagina more easily than others.  At 16, you might ask your mother for additional help if needed.

It can be: a folliculitis or a boil or an infected  cyst or an ingrown hair. See your gyn.

Not usually, unless: Your vision is only affected by extremely high blood pressure, when the effects of high BP affect the retinal vasculature ;/or optic nerve (malignant hypertension). Furthermore retinal blood vessels can be blocked causing loss of vision. Too low of BP usually causes people to feel faint ; pass out. Too low of BP has been thought to contribute to worsening of optic nerve blood flow. Goal bp: 115/70.
