Not physically: Dextromethorphan is a cough suppressant in dayquil that can affect seratonin and nmda receptors. According to the world health organization, dextromethorphan can be psychologically addictive, but is not physically addictive. Given the medications you are on, there is likely an interaction that should be discussed with your treating physician.

Not recommended: The sudafed in it can decrease milk production and irritability in the infant. Try saline nasal spray and a cool mist vaporizer.

Not likely: Your PCP prescribed Tamiflu to shorten the course of the flu. Your symptoms are more likely due to the flu itself not the medication. Drink fluids and rest. Treat fever with Tylenol and for worsening cough or prolonged fever, please see your physician.

Talk with OB but no: Dayquil contains acetaminophen, dextromethorphan, pseudoephedrine. Acetaminophen (tylenol) is ok but the other two are class c which most OB do not allow. Use nasal saline.
Class c: studies on animals show adverse effect and toxicity on fetus. No adequate and well controlled studies done on pregnant women. Drugs should be given only if potential benefit outweighs the potential risk to the fetus.

Yes, some do: There are several different Dayquil and Nyquil products. Some have alcohol, some don't.  One can find out by reading the labels (the part about "inactive" ingredients).  Otherwise, one can go online to their website to find which of their products comes in an alcohol-free version.

Yes: Yes, if Methadone is the only rx pain med you take, dayquil is okay. However, dayquil has Acetaminophen (tylenol), so do not take it with any other pain reliever that also contains it.

Maybe: But: these are both drugs that address symptoms;nothing here to make you better.I'd suggest choosing one ;added to rest, fluids, and TLC from your mom.
