Uncertain: Other things besides cancer can cause lymph node enlargement but it certainly warrants being checked out by you primary care physician.  They may elect to follow you for a few weeks to see if it doesn't go away.  If not, they may refer you to someone to do a sampling which can be done as a small surgery or needle procedure.

Get evaluated: Lymphatic system absorbs/carries things too big to go into the arteries/veins like bacteria eaten by white cells and digested food. Lymph nodes "taste" the lymph for anything bad like bacteria/viruses/cancers, etc. When it detects a problem, it alerts the immune system and your body reacts. They enlarge in response to the inflammation they create when they react. They shrink when all is well.

Hidradenitis: periodic swelling of glands in arm pit would be more clearly defined especially with relationship to causative factors such as a primary site of inflammation spreading to nodes.  Also recurrence appearing at random at different sites and with glands so small they are difficult to palpate.  Appears more likely to be inflammation of sweat glands in armpit possibly secondary to shaving.

In this particular region they drain the genital area and part of the thigh, that means it could be an infection or inflammation in those areas. I would recommend seeing a physician, specially if you have been sexually active or have any genital ulcer/lesion. I hope you will feel better.
