These  may not  be: These may not be related. You need to see your physician and not go to the hospital. It will save  a lot of money staying out of the ER. Your evaluation will be to see if the two are related, may incude imaging including a chest  film and possibly a CT or  MRI

See your doctor: Your symptoms may be signs of something significantly wrong.  One cannot tell without a complete history, physical and possible lab/imaging tests.  Follow with your doctor as soon as you can.  Things that can cause pains in chest and ribcage include heartburn, pneumonia, gallbladder problems, liver disease, kidney problems, heart attacks, or blood clots.

Before meds: A variety of conditions may cause your symptoms and without proper diagnosis taking random meds may not help. Best to start with will be your main doc who has your documented medical history, current meds and allergies. An exam that can be done remotely or in the office will be needed to assess the rash.

Possible infection: In children strep infection of the throat is very commom - in severe cases it can present as "rheumatoid fever" and cause additional symptoms. If your son has these symptoms and fever - shoudl be examined by  by his doctor and treated accordingly.

Get checked: Swollen glands can mean multiple things from infection to malignancy Its bothersome that its both sides now and you are having other symptoms. See you doctor tell them your complete history and make sure this gets worked up

86 year old male was hospitalized and diagnosed with stridor. x-ray of chest normal. ct of neck shows little swollen gland which . post release stridor noise came down but still little noise is there. pcp recommended loratadine otc. any advise ?
