Rule out...: My first concern is leukocytoclastic vasculitis. I trust this is not kaposi's, but there are many other concerning entities that a biopsy is required to diagnose. Talk about the results with your physician.

Bug bite: You probably got bitten by a bug of some sort - impossible to tell what sort without seeing it in person. Could also be a small staph infection, or a bite that has become infected. Apply warm soaks 2-3 times/day, but if it doesn't resolve in a few days see your doctor or a dermatologist.

hi. i broke my knee and now after 1 month, the plaster cast is removed but my leg keeps swelling even my foot has swelled and my skin is darker than usual, is this a part of the healing process or is it a problem? what the reason can be?

: Does your attending MD know about the leg &amp; foot swelling? I'm concerned about a blood clot in a vein. A leg ultrasound to check for phlebitis is indicated. Inform your MD or consult a vascular surgeon ASAP

It : It sounds like inflammation or possibly infection.  If there is no history of trauma, you may have some inflammation of a tendon or even the joint.  If you have no reasons that you can't take ibuprofen, you can try that and see if it helps, and the elevation of the foot is a good idea whenever possible.  Another possibility would be gout.  If you are having severe pain, redness, swelling, red streaks from the area, any swelling in the joint, or any fever then you must be evaluated medically immediately.

? Running issue: Your issue could be related to running.  With chronic repetitive trauma like long distance running, you can develop swelling in areas of the leg which can compresses nerves or blood vessels.  I would try to minimize running and ice the leg.  If no improvement, see a doctor.
