IVF or IUI : In general, there are not a lot of treatments that can improve sperm count. However, that does not mean that it is hopeless. In cases of male factor infertility intrauterine insemination (iui) or in vitro fertilization (ivf) can be very successful. Intracytoplasmic sperm injection (icsi) refers to the direct insertion of a sperm into an egg during ivf. It has allowed many men to become fathers.

Sperm count: Diabetes can cause a low sperm count - it would be important to get a semen analysis and possibly have the lab look for retrograde ejaculation.  This is a situation where the sperm end up in bladder.  They can be retrieved by the lab and used with assisted reproduction if needed.

Spelling and grammar: Hi. Do you mean "How do diabetICS make THEIR low sperm cell count go up"? Diabetes per se doesn't cause a low sperm count. You're young to have chronic complications, although it's not impossible. See a fertility clinic, but don't assume your diabetes is what's causing your low sperm count.  Good luck! (And practice spelling and grammar).  :-)

Probably: Obviously, i don't know the specifics of your husband's condition. But in general, neither diabetes nor heart disease should interfere with his fertility (quality of his sperm) or his libido (desire) although long term diabetes can interfere with his potency. (ability to have an erection).

Your husband's: fertility is not INSTANTLY affected by his blood sugar!
It should be a goal to keep him healthy and a normal blood sugar is a part of that goal however if he is fertile to begin with his blood sugar will not interfere with that

? varicocele: Your sperm count might be low if semen was collected soon after previous ejaculations, ideally collection should be after at least three days after last ejaculation. Poor motility could be related to a varicocele. You can self examine and feel your left scrotum whist standing up, varicoceles feel like "a bag of worms", disappear when lying down. ? Consider ivf if sperm count remains poor.

: Men get somewhat a pass on the effect of exposures. Millions of sperm are created in a continuous process daily. Any of those impacted by drug/drink/etc. do not swim as well as the healthy one so they don't make it to conception. That said, neither his T1DM nor random antibiotic use have a significant effect. I wouldn't worry about.
