Its difficult: When dermabond is stuck in hair it can be difficult to remove. Try putting vinegar, vegetable oil or tea tree oil on it, using cotton balls or swabs.  Keep these out of the eye.

Yes: The 'surgical glue' peels off in just a few days. Your wound should still heal ok. It can still get infected. If you have a concern about how your wound looks, or if it does get infected, see your surgeon.

Surgical glue: Surgical glue should eventually clear from the skin where it was applied. If concerned, you can ask surgeon who used it.

i have a surgical glue after a lipoma surgery. last night i saw some blood on my shirt but not a lot anymore. do i need to call my dr?

Yes: It is probably not a big problem, but it would be good to call the office and let them know that this has happened. They can then decide if they want you to come in and be seen or not.

Not to worry: with incision that small...bring "edges" together using a "Butterfly" bandage (Ask your pharmacist if you cannot locate these).....Hope this helps!  Dr Z

Possibly: lthough ratr this is possible. Were you placed on additional post-op mediciations?- If so - call your surgeon or make an appointment for an examination.

i have deep healed laceration cuts on my tongue from eating too fast and when in a sporting event. should have got it sewn up in er. it bled dark blood but i held it closed. now, will surgical glue reseal the 3 to 4 mm deep widened cut areas?

: Have an oral surgeon look at your tongue for possible infection and delayed healing. Possible intervention may be needed along with dissolvable sutures.

what are the symptoms of a surgical glue allergy?  i had knee replacement surgery and the incision started to weep clear yellowish.

I would: Be less worried about surgical glue as the issue. If there is pain, redness, fever or discharge form your incision, you need to get in to see your orthopedic surgeon.

no stroke, heart attack, no heart disease and take my htn meds. and 81 mg. baby aspirin as a self prevention. just had tattoo excised 4 inch long cut. stitches and surgical glue. wants me to wait 3.5 weeks til restart 81 mg. hmm?

What else: Just a skin wound would not warrant staying off aspirin for 3.5 weeks. What else is going on? It would be prudent to ask your doctor about getting started sooner, e.,g, after one week.
