No research on it: Many times in life, there are no definite answers. That's just the way it is. It's unlikely that scientists are leaving birth control pills in cars through summers to test their effectiveness later. So, a patient just has to decide on her own. Most likely, the pills will be fine. That means the chances of getting pregnant are the same, with the "car" pills as with "non-car" pills... very small.

Hard to say: You have many options for treatment. First of all, we need to know if you really have type 2 diabetes. Ask your dr to perform a GAD-antibody test. If positive, you probably have LADA, a form of autoimmune diabetes which will necessitate the use of insulin. Other options for you include GLP-1 receptor agonists (victoza) or an SGLT2 inhibitor (invokana). Ask what your A1C target is as well.GoodLuck!
