ive go a raised red bump on my face.looks like a swollen pimple.redness has reduced but it has been almost 3 weeks.ive been applying hydro cortisone.on the same side i have a visible swollen gland below my jaw line.not feeling sick though.please help?

Exam needed: This may have been an inflamed/infected cyst or ingrown hair that has organized into a papule that no longer is inflamed. I recommend having a physician or dermatologist examine and advise you.

See physician: This sounds like an infection.  Are you nursing?  Did you scratch your nipple ?  Please see a provider ASAP.  Until then use warm compresses and over the counter or triple antibiotic ointment or anti fungal creme

Abscess: Sounds like you have an infection. These might need to be drained in the office and most of the time people have to take antibiotics for the abscess to resolve. You can try sitz bath 4-5 times a day to see if it would help it resolve.

If the bump is more inside the vagina then it can also be a Bartholin's gland cyst versus abscess.

Swollen Bump: The red bump could be a bacterial infection in which case you would need antibiotics. The bump could be a herpes infection in which case you would need antiviral medication. See your doctor for the proper treatment.

Granulation Tissue: This could just be a pyogenic granuloma resulting from a local trauma or infection which can be treated locally. Worrying about early cancer affecting the nipple at your age of 25 is especially true among those women with a strong family history of breast cancer.

Chalazion or stye: You may have a gland that is blocked or a stye.  Usually stye point in and painful.  Chalazion usually painless and point out.  If you are bothered see a doctor to fix it.
