i get these sharp chest pains that will last for a couple of hours and the pain goes striaght through to my back it hurts worse i lay down. what is it?

See doc immediately: Depending on your age (it says you're 29) , but if you're having sharp chest pains that alone is concerning. If you think its closer to your stomach and radiate to your back, this could be a sign of acute pancreatitis.  

Often in young people however, the sharp chest pain can be inflammation of the ribcage or costochondritis which can often feel like a heart attack.

Wish you good health! - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex. 
Get HPV vaccine

Exam: At your age and without the advantage of your clinical history and exam, i would recommend you contact your doctor for a good exam with whatever he/she feels appropriate given the entire picture.  There are a number of possibilities ranging from the trivial to the deadly serious.

Even: At your age, is important to find out your heart plumbing and rhythm are working properly when you exercise. If no evidence of arrhythmia or isquemia  then transient pain source will not be dangerous. (lactic acid nerve irritation, chostochondral pain, gastric gas).

Reflux: You did not mention any other symptoms such as shortness of breath, swelling in your legs etc. I would treat the easy most likely things first then consider going to see your Doctor if there is no improvement. Peptobismol is easy to find and is safe to try first.

: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. What you described suggest musculoskeletal pain. You may take acetaminophen, no more than 4 g in a day, no alcohol. Regular aerobic exercise will help by improving muscle health. If pain persists, it would be prudent to see a doctor.
