Meds with lactation: Please consult the baby's pediatrician when breast feeding.Almost all meds will come into the breast milk and one must be careful popping pills in pregnancy and lactation.

I wouldn't: The american academy of pediatrics says that sudafed is compatible with breast feeding.  However, it's known to enter the milk;   i advise against using any medicine that enters the milk unless you really have to, and i don't know of any situation where you really have to use sudafed.

No: Only tiny amounts of a breastfeeding mom's cold & cough meds get into her breastmilk, so should not affect the baby. Older babies with mild cold symptoms (such as stuffy/runny nose and mild cough, but are still happy/active) can be watched at home if ok with the doctor. The baby's doctor may want to test the baby for strep throat or the flu. Young babies under 3 months should be seen by a doctor.

Pregnancy: Robitussin DM &amp; Sudafed PE  are both classified as  FDA pregnancy Category C . Thus, there may be potential for harm to fetus.

No interactions: There are no interactions between sudafed phenylephrine, Celexa (citalopram) and valium. Be careful of excessive sedation. Sudafed cough and cold has dextromethoraphan which does have a theoretical interaction with celexa (citalopram).

can i take allegra (fexofenadine) 24-hour and sudafed pe together?

Yes: You can take them together. Allegra (fexofenadine) 24 hour is a nonsedating antihistamine and Sudafed PE is a decongestant. This would be similar to taking allegra (fexofenadine) D. What you do not want to do is take Allegra (fexofenadine) D with sudafed, then you would get too much decongestant. Also you want to avoid decongestants if you have certain conditions like hypertension. Also don't take the sudafed at bedtime.

Yes: Sudafed is a decongestant and benedryl is an anti-histamine.

Different ingredient: Sudafed pe has different ingredients than plain Claritin (loratadine) so it would be ok.

Maybe: Remember that sudafed pe is a decongestant and potentially can make you edgy and irritable and give you tremors and palpitations. Not sure what you take trazodone for, but watch out for these side effects before you take sudafed.

yes: The combo is safe in terms of drug interactions, but the sudafed could cause anxiety if that is a problem for you.It can also induce insomnia.
