: That would not be wise, since both medications contain the same decongestant and could result in side effects. Wait the full 12 hours for the effects of the sudafed 12 hour to wear off.

can i take trazodone 50mg with vicks serve cold and flu? if not, can i take a trazodone 50mg with a benadryl and a sudafed instead?

: The interactions may result in drowsiness. Nasal congestion and cough are often relieved by nasal saline. Benadryl is an antihistamine and if you have an allergic reaction, please see your physician. Watch for signs of shortness of breath and fever.

: Yes it ts safe to take NyQuil.  Be sure to hydrate yourself with water.  It should assist in your improvement

: If that was regular acting Sudafed (not a long-acting formulation) then you should be ok to take the Tylenol Severe nighttime product.

6 weeks preg & have flu. tried everything for symptoms: panado, eucalyptus oil in a steamer for sinusitis etc, can i take sudafed in small doses?

Safe: Tamiflu (oseltamivir) should be prescribed to pregnant women who have the flu. The suppressed immune system in pregnancy make pregnant women highly vulnerable to this virus. Treatment is warranted.

not sure what to take ? sudafed or mucinex (guaifenesin).  trying to get over nasty residual effects of flu, i.e phlegm and congestion.

Meds for flu symptom: Sudafed (the kind you may have to sign for at the pharmacy) helps relieve congestion by shrinking the tiny blood vessels in the nose.  Not okay if you have uncontrolled high blood pressure. 
Plain Mucinex (guaifenesin) helps if you also drink lots of water, by making the mucus more fluid so it runs out rather than getting stuck. 
Can be taken in combination as in Mucinex D.

Yes: Even though Zyrtec (cetirizine) also has mild sedating effect the combination should be ok.

Depends: If your non-drowsy allergy relief contains a decongestant, it may keep you awake although it would provide some relief in your nasal congestion.  If it contains just an antihistamine, it would not help your cold but would not keep you awake either.  For short term use, an OTC nasal congestant spray may be more effective (not to be used for more than 5 days).

hi. can i take non-drowsy allergy relief and nighttime cold and flu medicine at the same time? i have a runny nose, sneezing, cough, and ear pain.

Nighttime cold &amp; flu: medicine should be enough, most of them already contain an antihistamine in the ingredients, so no need to add a non-drowsy allergy medicine. Read the labels carefully, rest, fluids, salt water gargles and saline nasal washes, if no improvement soon, especially ear pain, see your doctor, also stop smoking if you are, and avoid being around smokers, best wishes
