F/u with Neurologist: Take him to the neurologist who may try medicines for neuropathic pain like lyrica, (pregabalin) Gabapentin or others. Otherwise take him to pain management to help him control the pain. Attempt to pinpoint where is the pain located, which joints, or between joints, the back, the neck, shoulders, knees, elbows, hands? May benefit fron cortisone shots.

Hyper-baric oxygen: We use for ischemic limbs to prevent amputation, and find some utility in bad infections.  Some research has been done in stroke, and occasional acute cases have responded, but oxygen treatment for stroke remains controversial and so far, not in main stream.

Lucozade: In my opinion.there is nothing about this or any sports drink that would help any patient. As a matter of fact they usually contain too much sugar and calories.

Neutral: Don't think coffee represents a risk or harmful substance to stroke patients, but unlikely to assist rehab efforts unless there is a speech issue and Ritalin (methylphenidate) is not tolerated, but caffeine really has no role in stroke therapy, good or bad.

Talk to your DR.: Lucozade is a caloric component in a parenteral nutrition regimen. This is typically used in patients with the inability to eat normally or in the treatment of negative nitrogen balance. Nutrition post Stroke is a subject best handled in a discussion with the Dr who normally treats this patient. If you have concerns, they may refer you to a nutritionist who can do a detailed analysis of needs.

Stroke: Not necessarily in ICU , if  unstable certainly patient goes to icu.
