Not necessarily: Unless there is reason to test it it will go in the trash. A past history of drug abuse by a mother,  protective service surveillance, or babies with withdrawal symptoms would all prompt such a study. Hospitals do make sure babies have had their first poop before going home.

Months: Suspicion leads to meconium testing in a newborn as a more accurate reflection of past drug exposure than urine, that may only reflect a week or so.The material is built up over many months and the sensitivity of the test can pick up minute quantities deposited in the meconium  as it forms.This reflects exposures from the preceding 3 months if not longer.

: You may be merely experiencing heightened rectal sensitivity but instead of a colonoscopy you could consult a colorectal surgeon or proctologist  who could perform a simple proctoscopy in the office.  The prep is only a fleets enema the night before.  In this way you'll have peace of.mind.

Bl/urine/ straining : If the drop of blood happens at end of urination we call this terminal hematuria. This occurs from bladder contraction at end of urination. If you have not had cystoscope you need one (need urologist). If you live outside the us and europe, schistosomiasis is on the list to rule out.

The details will help decide what to do next. In our medical world, there are thousands and thousands of types of tests, which means saying "I got a test" is not detailed enough.

Stooling: If your baby is breast feeding a stooling pattern like this is not abnormal. If your baby is sick in any other way such as vomiting or blood in the stool; have your baby seen. Also make sure his environment is healthy with no lead exposure and developing as normal.

Poop :poop:: This can be a normal stool for a 3 month old. What is the baby drinking? Breastmilk/formula or a combination of both. Is there are discomfort with the BM? The mucous can be from what she swallows from her nose. Check with your pediatrician, from what you have described, it doesnt sound like an allergy.
