i have been given utrogestan vaginal suppositories to stop my bleeding and restart it again so i can begin fertility treatment. i was scared to take provera due to blood clot risks stated on them. are these vaginal suppositories safer? scared to die?

: Blood clots are associated with estrogen rather than progesterone, and unfortunately the Provera black box warning conflates the two. Utrogestan is a natural progesterone that avoids that confusion and is probably a better choice. In any case your risk of clots is very small.

i posted about my stopping a few days ago. it was dark brown mixed with red. now, it's very light brown with some pink/red blood. is it stopping soon?

Most likely...: your spotting will stop when you have an actual menstrual period.  However, without knowing your menstrual history or having a crystal ball, I can't say for sure. took lolo for three days only, two days later, brown blood. no intercourse in this time. is it normal to have brown blood after stopping?

Breakthrough bleed: Breakthrough bleeding (bleeding at the wrong time)  is very common on birth control. It happens in about 1/3 of users. Its no big deal and usually self corrects over time.  If you are not satisfied or it continues to happen  then consider using a different birth control method. It is a common side effect and does not mean something is wrong or that the pill is not working.

recently (past 3 weeks) taken off of blood thinners, now feel very tired a lot.  coincidence?  any side affects when stopping blood thinners?

No association: Fatigue is not a complication associated with discontinuation of blood thinners. Discuss other causes of fatigue with your doctor.

Probably not.: If someone has smoked for years and is coughing up blood (even if recently quit smoking), this needs to be checked out by your primary care physician.  A chest xray or chest ct needs to be done to rule out lung cancer.

after stopping, how long does aspirin thin blood?

Accepted Answer

Several days: Aspirin will permanently affect the adhesiveness of platelets in your system at the time you take it (not really thin your blood).  The platelets have a life span of 5-7 days, and your body will be constantly generating new ones which will have normal function.

Varies: it varies can be from a week to months , it depends on multiple factors so your Dr. is the best to judge this

Stopped BC pills: It is not unusual to have strange periods after stopping bc pills.  Periods should straighten out after a few months.  If not , see your doctor.

Many things: It is usually a problem with the process rather than your blood.  There are blood problems that can cause this but are very rare.
