i was given a stool sample kit, there was only a big container (similar to a cool whip one), the "seat" to hold it, a bag for hazardous waste items, and a tiny thawed out ice pack. is my stool sample kit missing stuff or is that normal?

THOUGHTS??: are CLEAR ....you need to have a complete evaluation by awho can look for the Board Certified Gastroenterologist who can take a look and find out why you are bleeding!! 
BTW this has NOTHING to do with your Gallbladder!

what is the chemical/preservative used in the stool sample collection tubes? it says not to drink because it's poison but i inhaled it by accident?

No harm: Accidental, transient inhalation of the preservative is not likely to cause any harm.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex.

how do you concentrate stool sample for microscopy?

Accepted Answer

Purpose?: This will depend upon the reason it is being submitted.  Generally your doctor will provide you with a container into which a specimen can be placed.  Sometimes they can extract enough during a rectal exam to satisfy the need for a specimen.  If it is for culture, it should be fresh (if that is an acceptable term for stool).  Same for exam of parasites.

Tests: What do you mean by 'standard test'? There are many things that can be tested for.
Iff however you mean 'stool cards' they are typically looking for hidden (also known as occult) blood.
Please follow the directions carefully to obtain the most accurate result.

probably that there was nothing abnormal to report.
Epethelial are the normal lining cells of the colon.

Depends: If depends on what test is planned. If it is just for ova, it does not need to be refrigerated. If it is for DNA analysis then it should be refrigerated. Ask the doctor who is ordering the test.

Any symptoms?: If you do not have any symptoms, do not be concerned.

Be patient: The stool will come. Try not to stress out about it, and just let it happen as your body dictates. Hang in there, you'll be alright.

See below: If the stool sample is to check for blood, then that is all that is tested for. Presence of blood, even microscopic, can be a suggestion for possible cancer. It can also be due to hemorrhoids, anal fissures, constipation, or intestinal infections. If colon cancer, the type/stage cannot be determined from the stool sample. That is why a colonoscopy is then done if the stool sample is + for blood.
