This may be due: To GI bleeding. Melena is black, tarry ; malodorous stool.  Medications containing bismuth (i.e., pepto bismal) can turn stool black and can foods or supplements that are high in iron. Please seek medical evaluation promptly.

Severity determines: Occasional incontinence of stool with fecal leakage is common, but loss of bowel control particularly without warning may signal a significant infection, inflammatory problem, maldigestive concern, or neurologic disorder.  Sometimes, particularly in youths, the condition is behavioral.  Often, anal manometry followed by biofeedback can be curative without the need of surgery or medication.

: I'm quite sure you have defecated within a week. Constipation is defined as going without a BM for 3 days. Stools become hard and very difficult to pass after 3 or4 days. You should consult your physician or a gastroenterologist urgently to look into your constipation problem. A recent onset can be caused by colon cancer.

: The large intestine is likely distended loke a balloon that may eventually lead to complications. I would seek out an evaluation and treatment by a GI doc.

No: No.  Children's laxatives are just laxatives at a smaller dose.  It is still just a laxative.  Probably have to take more of it to exert effect.

Normal variation: The main agent adding color to the poo is the material made by the liver called bile. It starts out a dark green and goes thru the yellows to brown depending on the influences of various factors in the intestines. Rapid transit thru the system, as may occur with diarrhea or breast feeding may have a greenish yellow or yellow appearance. The slower, more likely browner.

IBD: As a 20 yo, my first concern would be inflammatory bowel disease, especially ulcerative colitis.  It's unlikely that this is a malignant condition, but you really need to be seen soon for GI evaluation.  Don't delay, and good luck.

Green poop normal: Green poop could be from the iron which is in the cereal and formulaher appetite may be slowing down right now because of teething.

: Constipation is not as common as diarrhea with Covid-19 infection. Your symptom seems opposite with other patients. There is nothing to concern even if the dark/blackish color may imply occult blood in your stool which may happen in Covid-19 infection. Only concern do you have significant abdominal pain. Otherwise, eat light diet for a day or two, your normal bowel habit will return.
