No: pubic lice is separate from other STDs. You get an STD if you have unprotected sex with a person who is infected with that particular STD

Yes: Pubic lice is contagious and is an std.  So you can even get pubic lice when you use a condom.  Be careful:-).

Medical Culture: There are so many variables here that there is no right answer. In my practice i inform my patients the day i get the results for them. I know my local std clinic takes two weeks.  You should call and ask what their standard reporting protocol is.

There : There are several different possibilities of how that can happen.  Some times people carry disease, but for some reason it hasn't spread yet to their partner, although it usually eventually will.  Also, laboratory swabs and tests are not always perfect, and can be wrong.  Both you and your boyfriend should tell your doctor that your partner has these infections, so that you are treated appropriately, as both of these infections can cause long term complications.

Use of condoms: is not absolute protection against std.  You need to have a gyn exam and checkup for std's.

Not usually used: The PCR studies we perform look for the DNA of Chlamydia or gonorrhea &amp; they can easily be done on urine or anything else milked from the penis. Semen would do but are not necessary.

No: Most places do not give results of stds over the telephone. Your appt was set up so your results can be given. If you are worried try to move up your appt.

Here are some ...: Most conditions may include: 1. collected specimen is considered inadequate, 2. misplaced or lost the specimen,   &amp; 3. test came back with ambiguous result. So, go in for detail.
