what is better? stepmom or no mom in the home if dad has sole custody?

Consistent parent(s): If dad is custodial parent he shuld be the primary enforcer of boundaries and rules. Stepmom's have to be consistent with the primary parent's handling and defer to them as needed. Many kids in this situation "resent" new stepmom's because they haven't been a factor hereto fore in that child's life if the child is over age 6.

have you regretted putting your mom or dad in an old age nursing home?

Accepted Answer

Not if they get care: If you can't provide for their care yourself, a care center is the next best option. Make sure that they get good care there. Visit them often, and if you are able take them out on pass and let them go places and do other things.  You should not feel regret if you know they are receiving good care and stay active with activities.

Fecal : Fecal soiling is not uncommon - it happens in 1% of school-aged kids - boys more than girls.  The most common reason is constipation.  The child may have emotional stress or a painful bowel movement which in turn causes them to not want to go.  They then hold it in leading to constipation which can then stretch the nerves and walls of the intestine causing it to be difficult for the child to feel when they have to go or to control it at all.  This is treated with stool softeners with the goal of regular, pain-free bowel movements.

There are other medical conditions to consider such as inflammatory bowel disease, allergies, hirschsprung's disease or even a diet high in dairy or fat.  If her constipation goes away and she is still soiling, her doctor may consider these.  Emotional and psychological problems should also be considered if the medical problems have been ruled out.

Losing custody does not necessarily mean you lose visitation.

Maybe: Height prediction says that you will be around the same height as your father is. You are close to that now. Keep eating well and there is chance you will be taller than your father. I have seen this many times - the prediction charts are  not always that accurate!

Tall stature: Projected adult height of at least. 61 or 73 inches.

Should be: towards the end of your growth. If your growth plates are sealed you will not grow any more.

Nearest same gender: Most children will approximate the height of their same gendered parent as an adult. Children can grow taller if their opposite gender parent is significantly taller than their same gender parent. Nutritional considerations such as protein intake and lack of disease/infections will maximize your height. Boys typically finish growing around age 17. Unknown if you are done growing.
