Possible not likely: Anything is possible but it would have to be pretty physically aggressive sex to lead to splenic rupture. Usually we are concerned about contact sports rather than sexual contact.

: You have not shared enough information, i.e how large is girlfriend's spleen or cause for enlargement. Enlargement by iteslf, unless very large so that it is plainly visible, should not be contrindication for sex unless it causes pain.  Pain would be very unlikely.

: We often tell people with mono to avoid contact sports and certain other physical activities for several weeks to make sure the spleen has had time to return to normal size.  So theoretically, depending on the vigorousness of the sex, there might be a risk of injury to your spleen. Masturbation should not be a problem. Take care.

No: However, you can use positions that would not put direct pressure on your abdominal.

: You have misunderstood something you read or found online. You need to discuss this with the doctor who diagnosed your mono and is treating you. The spleen can be enlarged in mono, but there is risk of rupture only if there is unusually great enlargement. If not, exercise etc is safe. And no matter how big your spleen is, there is non risk of splenic rupture from having intercourse.

I wouldn't worry : I would not be concerned that your efforts would put your spleen at risk.

i had spleen removed in 1977.  i had 3 big tubes pumping blood. was this a blood transfusion? i been dignosed with hcv trying to figure out how i got it. i have never done drugs or had multiple sex partners.
