4 major ones: Treating spinal cord injury is more about minimizing the amount of damage at the time of injury: Methylprednisolone may have some benefit, but studies are inconclusive. As for spasticity, four drugs are standard of care: baclofen, diazepam, tizanidine, & dantrolene. Each has benefits and drawbacks; they all come in generic. Some may require more than one drug, or the use of a drug pump device.

Rx and muscle spasms: Either one of these may be helpful for muscle spasm symptoms.  Sometimes neither of them is helpful.  Both of them are worth a try.

Need to adapt: You have a permanent deficit.  Many children with cerebral palsy learn to live with their disability and are active and participate in regular sports and activities.  You now have a form of acquired cerebral palsy.  Learn to adapt to it.  A good therapy program will help, and trained therapists can be sure that you have the best bracing and stretching methods to provide optimal outcome.

any drugs 4 spasticity that could replace baclofen, and be taken with celexa safely? except i am allergic 2 zanaflex (tizanidine)..plz help i need my celexa back!

Possibly: Clonazepam is a possibility but is a controlled substance and is not prescribed unless you really have problems with he baclofen. It causes dependence and is pretty hard to wean from.

Neuro vs muscular: To me spasm is a local muscle involuntary contraction and spasticty is a neurologic problem loss of cortical control of motor function causing inability to appropriately relax muscles sign of a upper motor neuron injury
