No, not usually.: Glands will swell for weeks after an upper respiratory infection, which causes drainage (briefly), but you said "chronic". I noticed gastritis and Prilosec on your profile. Are you sure post nasal drip isn't from GERD? Happens a lot. But look for other reasons for cervical gland pain or swelling. See your primary care, make sure your glands aren't a sign of something serious.

had a nasal papiollma removed 2 weeks ago. nostril still a bit sore is that usual?

Sore nostril: If the papilloma was removed from the nostril, then yes, this is normal.  It takes a while to heal.  Most biopsies and procedures in the nose take a couple of weeks to heal to the point that there is minimal discomfort or pain.

Virus: It sounds like you have a viral infection. Try using an over the counter saline nasal solution and see if it helps.

: Have you tried to move that spot with a Q-tip? If you have not, you can try.  Tonsil exudate and stone can be removed with the Q-tip. If it can't be moved and persists for weeks, you should be examined to rule out leukoplakia which can be a precancerous lesion in people with history of smoking. Good luck.

See ENT Surgeon: Could be tonsilar abscess.  May need antibiotics and drainage. Best way to know is to see the expert.

Exposure history?: If you have no symptoms or your symptoms care mild, stay home for self-quarantine 14 days or till recovery. If symptoms are severe or uncertain, call your health care provider to get instructions regarding testing, self-quarantine and possible hospitalization then follow through!
