Intertrigo: Intertrigo (intertriginous dermatitis) is an inflammatory condition of skin folds, induced or aggravated by heat, moisture, maceration, friction, and lack of air circulation. Intertrigo frequently is worsened or colonized by infection, which most commonly is candidal but also may be bacterial, fungal, or viral. Treatment is with prescription vytone cream 1%.

Suggestions...: Keep the area clean and dry as much as you can. For the dryness you can use vitamin D ointment twice a day. You might also have a fungal infection and an antifungal may be needed or an infection and antibiotics/creams may be needed. Better to get checked by your doctor to make sure nothing more serious is happening.

Inflammation: This could be due to localized inflammation, or an underlying problem with the bone (i.e. fracture, instability).  You could try some anti-inflammatory meds (i.e. ibuprofen, Aleve) and ice/heat and topical treatments such as aspercreme or capsaicin cream.  See a physician if your symptoms persist or worsen.

Consult your PCP to: Be evaluated to see whether its from the spine or is it something like a pilonidal cyst. For a back issue you may have to see an orthopod/spinal surgeon, while for the p. Cyst a referral to a gen surgeon would be more appropriate. So seeing the pcp would be beneficial to start investigations/referrals.
Meanwhile take some pain meds.

It is possible to: get boils there . if it increases in size you need to have it seen by a doctor.
it could also be skin redness from sweat and moisture.
keep the area dry and clean

Need to examine: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without physical examination, however what you described suggests a friction blister/sore. Do not give up exercise, but do a different one. You may walk or jog, or use treadmill. If you are overweight, you may resume the exercise you were doing after you lose weight and the sore heals. I commend you for exercising.
For good health -Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low fat milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex. 
Get HPV vaccine.

Abscess : Is very likely from your description and needs to be rapidly excluded and if found treated with drainage to reduce the risk of serious infection.  Please see a doctor in person urgently

Gluteal bumps: May be eczema that may be getting  infected because of itching or may be fungal infection. You may consider bacitracin in AM with an anti-fungal like over the counter clotrimazole in the PM for 7 days and see if it works, if not try over the counter hydrocortisone for eczema.  Discuss with doctor/urgent care

i have an itchy rash on my butt crack. its red and a little bumpy. it can get sore and tender. what could this be ? how can i help sooth the pain?

Rash: Couple things come to mind based on location: warm, dark, moist area is perfect spot for fungus to take up residence. Other possibility is shingles (reactivation of the chickenpox virus). See your fp to examine rash to determine what it is & to provide appropriate treatment.
