Diet/irritation: If your child is otherwise healthy and doing well in growth and development, i would imagine this episode is isolated to diet and contact irritation of the anal area. Stool (poo) has waste products that can irritate and digest the sensitive skin areas of your child's bum.  Rinsing with water after and "pat" dry can help (or sitz bath). Antibacterial ointment or vaseline can relieve irritation.

Intestinal issues: This depends on how long, and whether there is blood in the stool. If it's a short term issue, and everything else is normal, then it may just be a stomach virus, causing mild irritation. However, if there is blood, or it's a prolonged issue, then you should consult your doc immediately for evaluation and discussion.

Bloodwork?: Herpes cultures will only be positive about 60% of the time, even with active disease.  Having bloodwork to look for antibodies to the herpes virus can help confirm the diagnosis.

Diarrhea : There is a lot that can be going on here. Your new ongoing diarrhea for 2 mo can be from laxative-induced effect. But if off laxatives, the diarrhea can be from overflow incontinence, or infection (eg, c diff infection), or ibs-diarrhea type. Other not-mentioned processes could be going on, so i recommend seeing a GI md and getting a good physical exam as well (including a digital rectal exam).

Rectal bleeding: Causes for rectal bleeding can be hemorrhoids, fissure, fistula, cancer ; infectious or inflammatory bowel conditions. Get medically checked to know.

Sore in buttocks: Swollen red painful? Would follow up with doc may  be folliculitis (superficial infection) versus abscess (deep infection) and may need antibiotics topical  and  or oral.

Get rid of bad fats: in diet and replace them w/good fats, e.g., olive oil, coconut oil.  Bad fats are like bad oil in a car and vice versa. Also see a dermatologist.
