Yes: Some ocp may cause this. If with second foil you feel the same ask your doctor to prescribe ocp with lower estrogen level.

Accepted Answer

Not ovulating: The pill works by preventing ovulation so unless you are taking it incorrectly you should be ok. Breast tenderness may be a side effect of the pill but should then improve as you continue the pill. It is not a sign of ovulation.

marvelon is only bcp or birth control method that works to keep my period more regular, but causes very sore breasts. how to stop pain?

Stop BCP?: If stopping medication is not an option, consider eliminating caffeine and adding some extra vitamin e to your diet. It may help decrease or end breast pains.

Maybe you need to: check for pregnancy.  If first test negative, then check again in 1 week.  It is always good to assume that you may be pregnant, since breast tenderness is one of the first signs of pregnancy.  If both tests are negative, and you have a period, then you know you are not pregnant.  Breast tenderness can also come from hormonal imbalance and overstimulation, or infection if it is just one breast.

Yes: Many women will have some breast tenderness for a short period of time after starting the pill.  For most of them it gradually goes away.

Yes: It usually takes at least 3 months for a body to adapt to a contraceptive pill. If you are still experiencing these symptoms after three months, return to your gynecologist for follow-up.

Take a test : If someone is pregnant enough to be having symptoms then that means their hormone level is high enough to be detected on a home pregnnacy test. Go ahead and take one. 
Breast soreness is caused by many other things other than pregnancy. I suspect your test will be negative.

Yes: Anytime you change your hormonal status it can affect the breast tissue and tenderness is one of the most common side effects reported.  Once you are adjusted to the new BC the effect should go away - probably in 1-2 months.

Missing pills: Missing birth control pills commonly causes a period to start early, and can cause other menstrual irregularity.  Anytime you miss more than one pill in a pack of pills, you should stop taking the pills, discard that pack, and wait until after your next period starts and then start a new pack of pills. If you are concerned about possibility of pregnancy do a pregnancy test, but it is unlikely.
