Pop: You might have a meniscus tear. If it continues to hurt see an Ortho doc.

Maybe a Baker's Cyst: a baker's cyst is in the antecubital fossa behind the knee.  Go to a good orthopedist and he should be able to help you make the correct diagnosis and treatment plan.

If : If you have not had an MRI i recommend you request one. It sounds like you may have a tear in one or multiple tendons, ligaments, or meniscus. If so, you will need surgery to clean the knee out so to speak and repair the damage. In the meantime you can request a steroid injection for the pain and inflammation.

Orthopedic eval: You should see an orthopedist.  A pop sound and impaired ability to bear weight are suspicious for a soft tissue injury to the ligaments or tendons in the knee.  In the short term, you can ice it, elevate it, compress it with an ace wrap, and take some Motrin or advil (ibuprofen).

Activity?: What activity were you doing when the pop occurred?  It could be a rupture of a Baker's cyst (benign cyst that occurs behind the knee) or it could be a ligament rupture which is more serious.  Is the knee swollen or feel like it's going to give out? I would elevate, rest and ice the knee for the next 24 hours and if it's no better see your doctor or urgent care.

Yes: If you have constant pain and difficulty bending your knee you should be evaluated by an orthopaedic surgeon. Depending on the pain, the ER may be the best place, but you can also schedule an urgent appointment with an orthopaedic surgeon who can evaluate your injury. If it is not a fracture, you will be sent to the ortho surgeon's office with some pain control. Best to manage that pain.

Knee cyst: Discuss with orthopedic surgeon sometimes they can can rpovide medical treatment or drain cysts. . Also an MRI may define  the anatomy and type  better. f/u with orthopedics

i have a really dull painful sensation in my right leg from the top of my kneecap to behind my knee which pops aswell and the pain extends to hip?

Injury?: It appears to be from a recent injury. If it is not helped by NSAIDs, gets much worse,  or fails to improve significantly after 2 weeks, you will need to consult your doctor or an orthopedic surgeon.
