It gets absorbed: I take it from your question that some orange juice went down your trachea, or airway. We call this aspiration, and unless it was a large amount or happens repeatedly it is not likely to cause any problem.  It is acidic, so will be even more uncomfortable than other liquids in the airway, but will be absorbed into the body. There is a small chance it could cause a pneumonia, but this is not likely.

Could be problemCMD: Severe pain causing a black out needs urgent evaluation. Can't tell here what is causing it.;  inflammation, ulcer, spasm, pancreatitis, gallbladder, other. Call your doc, or er now.

You could get sick: But usually orange juice that has spoiled tastes bad (rancid).  If it's been a couple days and you don't have abdominal pain, diarrhea or vomiting, you're most likely fine.

Orange : Orange juice is tricky - we've been told for years how healthy it is, right?  True, it has vitamin c, calcium (if you buy the calcium fortified stuff), and it tastes good, but there are a few other things to keep in mind:

- an 8 oz glass of oj has almost as much sugar as a can of soda
- oj has little to no fiber, so that sugar rush can cause an Insulin spike which eventually leads to high cholesterol, diabetes, high blood pressure and weight gain.  Eating the whole fruit is much better for you because the fiber found in the fruit causes the sugars to be digested more slowly which avoids the Insulin spike
- the stuff you buy in the carton has been processed with many chemicals to increase shelf life - even the expensive stuff!  if you must have oj, it's much better to squeeze it yourself.

The 2 best bits of dietary advice i can give pertaining to juice is "everything in moderation" or "bypass the juice and just eat the fruit".  Your body will thank you.

OJ: define lots: six quarts day may make you fat. Need more information.

No: It is best to avoid citrus fruits for the first few months.  They may be harsh on your baby's maturing gastrointestinal tract.  Your baby may become fussy and gassy.

Stay out of sun: Depending on the dosage form you have, tablet or capsule, don't take it close to going to bed, to avoid it dissolving in your throat (esophagus, causing pain). Tablets are better, but more expensive.Also, stay out of the sun, as you can sunburn easier. Possible to have vaginitis from it (small percentage of women).So take your probiotics/fermented vegetables to avoid this from happening. Ask rxist.

Craving sweets: You are probably just craving something sweet.  Orange juice has a lot of sugar.  Way too much sugar.  I do not recommend drinking any fruit juice.  Eating fruit is healthy but drinking them is not.  It takes a lot of oranges to make a glass of juice and you don't need that much sugar.  Try to drink milk and water and eat fruit.  Avoid other sweet drinks like pop and gatorade as well.

Bad: You are having a significant carbohydrate load and can wake up with a headache or increased hunger.  I would suggest a protein snack such as yogurt or peanut butter. Depending on your age, the sodium load is not good.For you.  This can contribute to eight gain.
