Yes: The ability to define a thyroid cancer depends on the presence of a solid homogeneous nodule that is cold on thyroid scan.  While many do biopsies an adenomatous lesion converting to cancer can only be defined if the capsule is invaded.  I do not biopsy the lesions since too many errors have been made preop on needle biopsy.
Resection of the lesion is the most effective way of curing a tumor.

6 months: Years ago, breastfeading was frowned on &amp; many made "formula" from boiled cow milk&amp;karo. Since cow milk is designed for calves, infants were fed early &amp; often to make up for deficiences in cow milk. Now that breast is back, or formulas  mimic breast, solids are optional. The sitting child is more capable of participating &amp; few sit before 6m. Babies can wait past a year and thrive.

Opinion varies: I believe that feeding solids should be done only when a baby is developmentally ready, the solids nutritional content should be balanced in proteins, fats and carbs,  the food should not be overly processed as to have an indiscriminate texture, and should exclude honey until a year and true peanut butter until choking is less of a risk.

Wrong question.: Different foods have differing numbers of calories and different varieties of nutrients. Also, children of the same age can be of very different weights. At such a young age, milk or formula has a very appropriate mix of nutrients for your infant and there is no great urgency to supplement it. See how your child is growing and then check with his doctor for further advice.

Depends: in a baby who is meeting developmental milestones and has no underlying medical conditions that would prohibit introduction of solid foods, the earliest they should be introduced is between age 4-6 months. Breastmilk or formula should still be the main source of calories at this age. Make an appointment with your pediatrician to talk about how to introduce solids and to see if your baby is ready.
