No: But it's always a good idea to check your blood pressure when u c ur doctor for all those above mentioned symptoms.

Controversial : Cannabis can increase or decrease blood pressure depending on which study you read. There is an increased risk of acute myocardial infarction after cannabis use. I do not recommend smoking marijuana.

Manage your BP: This isn't the place to debate the cannabis laws, but it's been part of life in the US for almost a century and nobody's shown that it's a problem for the hypertensive. I'd urge you to obey the law, think about whether this is really what you want to do if it is lawful, and especially to work with your physician to manage your hypertnesion so your life will hopefully be long and happy.

: What you described does not suggest venous thrombosis. It would better to engage in more physical activity, e.g., walking, rather than spending time with video games.

Possibly: Blood pressure medications in the ace- inhibitor class can cause persistent coughing in some people.  There are others that potentially may aggravate asthma and increase coughing.

Cigarettes: Cigarettes have nicotine which is a vasocontrictor and inotrope, that is it raises blood pressure as part of its toxic effects.............Don't smoke.

Good question :  Both nicotine (in cigarettes) &amp; caffeine (in coffee) have been shown to elevate blood pressure, at least for a short time during &amp; after consuming them.  This can make BP meds less effective.  Smoking also has MANY other health risks (not so with caffeine) (lung &amp; other cancers, heart disease &amp; strokes, COPD, etc) so I strongly recommend working with your Dr on a stop smoking plan.

Cannabis & health: Your BP may be "perfect, " but smoking cannabis sharply increases heart rate  and makes you nearly 5 times as likely to have a heart attack in the first hour after smoking.  This may be from palpitations & arrhythmias.  Marijuana contains 50-70% more carcinogenic hydrocarbons than cigarette smoke.  There's more risk of daily cough, phlegm, and respiratory infections. Mind effects are profound too.

High blood pressure: Recommendations are not more than one drink per day for women or two drinks per day for men.  Most importantly you should stop smoking.  If your pressure is borderline, just stopping smirking will help you the most.  Adding exercise will also help to lower your blood pressure.

my blood pressure some times is up to 155/90 i have had a irregular hear beat at times (it often skips beats and i get fluttering) so am on atenol was 50mg

Habits: If you change your habits all those problems might improve. Stop drinking heavily and stop smoking and you will see the difference
