33 years old clear mammo 4 months ago, recently found pea sized lump in breast and chest pain. can mammo be wrong?

Not wrong, not seen: Not every tissue type can be seen on mammography.  Up to 10% of cancers may not be seen on mammo and not seen on ultrasound.   In this 10%, it used to mean we went right to excisional biopsy.  Now, if indicated, you can do an MRI first.  Talk to your doctor.

Risk is VERY low!: Any breast lump can be benign or cancerous.  Important things are:  has it grown, changed, gotten harder, deformed, dimpled the skin, made the skin over it red or swollen, or become associated with lumps in your armpit?  At age 28, the chance of a lump being cancer is about 1/10,000 -- which is NOT zero. 

Please see a breast specialist for an exam, and likely an ultrasound. Good luck to you!

: Breast Cancer is very rare in women under 30 years of age. So it is unlikely to be the case with you especially because the size the lump you have felt is too small to take it seriously. I would suggest that you watch this lump for some months and check its size once per month. Unless it grows in size to 1cm, it is not likely to be breast cancer.
Benign lumps like a fibroadenoma is more likely.

Never know: See a doctor to have an exam and likely an imaging study. Could be a cyst but has to be looked at.

See your doctor: For a clinical breast exam.  They may also order a mammogram and ultrasound.

Not necessarily: Most breast lumps close to the surface are epidermal cysts, but that's not always true. You should let your gynecologist or a dermatologist have a look at it, and perhaps remove it.

Breast Lump: At your age any breast lump should be taken seriously with an appropriate work up done. You need to see your primary care physician or a general surgeon for further care.
